SILVER JUBILEE MONUMENT

BRUNEI-MUARA , BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

Located on the banks of the Kedayan River, the Silver Jubilee Monument, completed in July 2002, was built to commemorate His Majesty the Sultan's Silver Jubilee celebration.

The monument's design consists of circular arches with Bruneian motifs and a fountain at the center in the form of a gangsa, a traditional Malay tray. Designed by a local prominent architect, the whole project was funded by the private sector. There are further plans to develop the area to include a recreational park and stalls.
