A half-hour drive
southwest from Bandar Seri Begawan along
Brunei's coastal highway will propel visitors
from the Brunei-Muara District into the
gradually more rural landscapes of Tutong
District, and towards its namesake town of
Tutong. The atmosphere here is serene and is
perfect as a getaway from the hustle and bustle
of city life.
Although bigger in
size than the Brunei-Muara District with 1,166
square kilometers of territory, Tutong has a population of
only around 34,100 including members of Borneo's
ethnic tribes: Tutong, Kedayan, Murut and Dusun.
The scenery here is simply astonishing and it is
a place for those who loved nature. Exotic
plants and birds are plenty here and do not come
here without your camera.
