Located east of
East Baray and near Prasat Komnap, Banteay Samre is not as famous
and popular among tourists as it is placed away from the central
of Angkor but the journey taken to view this
temple will be more than satisfying. This Hindu
temple was built in the 12th century during the
reign of Suryavarman II and Yasovarman II.
