The Terrace of Elephants was built as a vast gallery stand used by King Jayavarman VII when witnessing ceremonies and parades and it is part of the ancient city of Angkor Thom. The elephants carvings has become a popular tourist attraction and visitors coming here will not want to miss the chance to take a picture with these elephant terraces.

This three hundred and fifty meters wall is also used as the king's grand audience hall and is attached to the palace of Phimeanakas. Among its main attractions here are the human sized mythical human-birds known as the garuda and the two parts of the well-known Parade of Elephants on either end of the wall. The carvings of elephants on the walls provides good backdrop during photography session.
