The southern coast
of Cambodia has been a popular place for
tourists who wishes to sit by the seaside to get
a perfect suntan. Located southwest of Phnom
Penh in the province of Kep is the beautiful Kep Beach. This place is
packed with local and tourists during the
weekend. What is now left of the grand colonial
retreat of Kep-sur-Mer is just the skeletons
structures of the holiday homes, used by the
French, hidden among lush trees.
Near the stunning Kep Beach is the
excellent seaside Kep Resort. Tourists can come
to this place from Kampot Provincial town using
National Road No.3 and not only is the sun waiting for
them here but visitors can also savor the fresh
and delicious seafood served at this famous beach
resort. For those who are more adventurous, take
a short boat ride to Koh Tonsay, also known as
Rabbit Island, to laze around its beautiful
beaches.
