One of the more interesting place to visit, Srah Srang, a baray (reservoir) was built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century and it is specially dedicated to Buddhism. Located at the southern part of East Baray, the west end of the baray which is opposite the entrance to Banteay Kdei, is the perfect place to savor the magnificent sunrise view and has since become a popular tourist attraction in Angkor. It is a huge pond and interesting statues of lions and serpents can be seen here and it is a good place to take some photographs. It is also called the royal bath because it is here where the kings take their baths in ancient times and the view here is excellent.
