Ditan Spring
Festival Cultural Temple Fair
Event: Since
the first such temple fair held in 1985 , the
Ditan Spring Festival Cultural Temple Fair has
become an indispensable activity in Beijing
during the Spring Festival. The main contents
include the performance of offering sacrifices
to Earth, varied and rich theatrical
performances, the display of traditional folk
arts from other parts of the country, and a
large ice sculpture exhibition.
Time: From
the first day to the seventh day of the first
lunar month.
The Chrysanthemum
Festival
Event: The
chrysanthemum is the city flower of Beijing.
Until now Beijing has celebrated the festivals
for more than 20 years. During the festival a
wide variety of chrysanthemums are on display;
the artistic arrangement of flowers is performed
and a chrysanthemum contest is held.

Botanical Garden in the north of the Beihai
Park, Beijing
Transport: It
can be reached by bus Nos. 13, 42, 701, 811, 823
and 850; and also by trolley bus Nos. 107, 111
and 118.
