The total area of the Beijing Zoo comes to more than 50,000 sq m, and consists of many halls, such as Rhinoceros Hall, Hippopotamus Hall, Lion and Tiger Hill and Deer Garden, and raises various rare animals found in China such as Giant Pandas, Manchurian Tigers, Golden Monkeys and David's Deer. Other animals that you may find here are chimpanzees, gibbons, elephants, lions, polar bears and penguins. 

 

Located in the northeast corner of the zoo is the Beijing Aquarium, the largest inland aquarium in the world. With over 490 species of representative animals from all over the world, totaling to about 5,000, it is the largest zoo in China.

 

Opening times: 7.00am to 5.00pm

Admission: 10 yuan; a through ticket, 15 yuan; a ticket for the Panda Hall, 5 yuan; a ticket for the Reptile Hall, 1 yuan.

 

Location: Xizhimenwai Street, Xicheng District, Beijing

Transport: Visitors can take bus Nos. 7, 15, 19, 27, 45, 102, 103, 105, 111, 332, 334, 347, 380, 808, 812 and Te 4.
