By Air

One fast way of getting around in Changchun, Jilin province is to travel using the aeroplane. The Changchun Dafangsheng Airport is located about 11 km west from the city. Scheduled flights fly from Changchun to Beijing, Dalian, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong as well as to cities in overseas countries like Seoul in South Korea and Vladivostok in Russia.

By Rail

Another transportation method is to use the trains. The Changchun Railway Station is the third largest passenger station in Northeast China and it is found in the north of the city  and at the northern end of the People's Street ( formerly Stalin Street). From here, visitors can easily travel to several dozens of large and medium-sized cities in China like Beijing, Shanghai and Xian.

Public buses

There are several dozens of public and special bus lines in Changchun which can take tourists to all the places of interest in the city. This is a popular type of transport in Changchun. Some buses and mini buses do not have conductors whereby passengers are required to throw 1 yuan into the box when getting on the bus. Bus No.62 travels through the centre of town between the train station and Nanhu Gongyuan while Bus No.10 will take you to the Puppet Manchuria Palace Museum traveling east from the train station.

 

Taxis

There are a lot of 'Audi' taxis running on the streets in the city with a starting price of 5 yuan for the first 3 km and then 1.4 yuan per km is charged after 3 km. It is advisable to travel by taxis if tourists are traveling in a group of 3 to 4 since it will not be more expensive than taking a bus.
