There are many types
of transport in Changsha that are available to
tourists. Visitors who choose to fly when in
Changsha can visit the head office of the Civil
Aviation Administration of China which is
located at No.5 Wuyi Donglu. Finding the type of
transportation to getting around Changsha is not
hard. There are scheduled flights that
fly between Changsha Airport and 40
different cities in China regularly. The
Changsha Huanghua International Airport is 24.2
km east of the city center of Changsha which is
very close to Huanghua Town in Changsha County.
It takes about 40 minutes from the city to the
airport by car. There are buses services between
the railway station and the airport. Tourists
can also catch the special buses at the Civil
Aviation Hotel or at the Ticket Office on the
May First Road to the airport.

By Rail
Traveling using the
train is also another popular mode of transport
in Changsha. For travelers going
to Shaoshan, there is a train service that goes
there every day that departs early in the
morning. For foreign tourists, there is a
counter at the Changsha train station that is
specially open for them.

Public buses
The fares of the
public buses in Changsha are quite cheap whereby
passengers are charged 2 yuan for the
air-conditioned bus and 1 yuan for the ordinary
bus. Some buses even charged 0.5 yuan a
person. Since most buses do not have conductors,
it is advisable to prepare the exact amount of
fare before boarding the bus. The bus station
located near the train station has services that
travel to Shaoshan, Zhangjiajie and Zhuzhou.
Taxis
Taxis are easily
found in Changsha. The starting price for Fukang,
Jetta and Xiali is 8 yuan and after 3 km, the
taxi fares is 1.6 yuan per km. Santana charges
1.8 yuan per km after 3 km. It is not expensive
to travel by taxi in the city and the fare
should be less than 20 yuan.
