GREAT WALL AT JINSHANLING IN CHANGSHA

HEBEI , CHINA

The Great Wall of China at Jinshanling is located in Bakeshiying in Luanping County, Chengde and adjacent to the Beijing-Chengde tourist highway. Regarded as less developed among the other sites at the great wall, this section of the Great Wall of China stretches more than 20 kilometers, starting from Wangjing Tower in the east to Longyukou in the west, is well known for 'bricks with Chinese characters, block walls, horse-block walls and screen walls with the pattern of Chinese unicorns'. For those seeking adventures, visitors can hike along the wall between Jinshanling and Simatai whereby Jinshanling is the beginning spot for a hike to Simatai. Since the condition of the Jinshanling wall has not be reconstructed, visitors will enjoy its original look.

Admission: 30 yuan

Transport: Visitors may set out in Chengde and travel along the Beijing-Chengde tourist highway (or the No. 101 national highway) to Hualougou where tourists can see the signboards indicating the route to the Great Wall at Jinshanling.
