In Sichuan province,
the best transportation system is found in
Chengdu. Chengdu is regarded
as a very important city in southwestern China
because of its convenient communications. More
than 160 scheduled flights go regularly from
here to over 60 large and medium-sized cities in
China such as Beijing, Guangzhou, Kunming,
Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong and also to
countries like Singapore and Thailand.
The Shuangliu
International Airport is only 20 kilometers from the
city of Chengdu. Shuttle buses travel from the
Air Ticket Office at 41 the Second Section of
Renmin South Road to the Shuangliu Airport once
every 30 minutes. Passengers are charged 8 yuan
per person. Bus No. 303 also goes to the
airport. Costing about 40 yuan, travelers can
catch a taxi to the airport which is both
convenient and faster.
