Covering an area of
482 square kilometer the Xiling Snow-Covered Mountain is
located in the Dayi County, Chengdu. Du Fu, a
famous poet during the Tang Dynasty, once wrote
a poem which contained the sentence 'the window
has the ages snow from Xiling'. The Baisha Ridge
which has an elevation of 3,200m is the most
fascinating spot in the mountain. An unique
scene can be seen on one side of the ridge which
shows clear and boundless sky while the other
side is full of clouds and mists.
Transport:
Visitors may get on a tourist bus at the bus
station near Chengdu North Railway Station and
go directly to the Xiling Snow-Covered Mountain.
Another way is for tourists to catch a shuttle
bus from the Chengdu North Railway Station or
from the Jinsha bus station to Dayi and then
change to another bus that goes to the Xiling
Snow-Covered Mountain.
