When cruising from
Wanzhou to Yichang, besides the spectacular
Three Gorges of Qutang, Wu and Xiling, another
remarkable sight called the Gezhou Dam is
found here. Before reaching the end, the
massive Three Gorges Dam project becomes
visible. At the end the gorge, tourists
will see the Gezhou Dam, which is also
known as the No.1 dam on the Yangtze River.
It is a large key water control project.
The Gezhou Dam is located at the eastern outlet of
Xiling Gorge, the longest of the three gorges, on
the Yangtze River.

Transport:
Visitors may get on bus No. 3 or No. 9 from
Yichang City to the Gezhou Dam
