PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN DALIAN

The main district of Dalian is just the right size to enable tourists to just walk or take a stroll around it. For those who do not fancy walking too much, then maybe you can tour the city by cycling. Another way for sightseeing is to catch No. 801 bus for a two-hour tour of the city.

 

By Air

 

The Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport is one of the main airports in China with complete functions and perfect facilities. The airport has developed nine international and domestic air routes and 258 scheduled flights which fly from Dalian to 54 domestic and foreign cities weekly. There are planes from 22 local and foreign airlines taking off and landing at the Dalian Airport. To get to the airport, visitors can catch the No.701 or No.710 bus from Zhongshan Square. If you do not mind spending a little bit more, then spend about 30 yuan more for a taxi ride.

By Rail

 

The Shenyang-Dalian Railway meets the Beijing-Shenyang Railway in Shenyang, forming a railway artery running through northeast China and north China and linking Europe and Asia. Special express trains or through expresses go from Dalian to Beijing, Shenyang, Harbin and Changchun regularly.

By Sea

 

With regards to water transportation, the Dalian port has opened nine domestic passenger navigation lines. The busy shipping lines are the ones from Dalian to Yantai and Shanghai. The volume of passenger transport from Dalian to Yantai ranks first in China. Regular scheduled ships run from the Dalian Port to Inchon in South Korea. Ferry tickets are sold at the terminal in the east of Dalian.

Public buses

Dalian has crisscrossed public transport lines radiating to all directions. Most buses in Dalian do not have conductors and it charges one yuan per passenger. The fleet of buses found in Dalian are among the most modern in China. Traveling by bus is the most common type of transportation in Dalian. There is also tram services around the city up to 11.00pm

 

Taxis

A large number of taxis run in the city which makes tourists find it convenient to travel. It costs 8 to 15 yuan to take a tour of the city by taxi which it cost about 10 to 30 yuan to go tourist attractions spots. The taxi with blue, yellow or green top lamps provide better service.
