WHITE CLOUD MOUNTAIN SCENIC ZONE IN GUANGZHOU

The White Cloud Mountain consists of over 30 peaks and this attraction is made up of an area of 28 square kilometers. The White Cloud Mountain Scenic Zone, also known as the White Cloud Hills or Baiyuan Shan, is located in the northeast area of Guangzhou and are an offshoot of the Dayu Peak, the main mountain range in Guangdong. Moxingling Peak (also known as Star Touching Peak), the main peak of the mountain is 372 meters high and it is known as the No.1 Peak in south China. Astonishing view of the city can be seen from here with the Xiqiao Shan on one end and the Fayuan Hills and Bei Jiang on the other end. The White Cloud Mountain is a natural landscape garden and a tourism and holiday resort with features such as golf course, botanical gardens and a sculpture park to add to its surroundings. Other attractions here include the Mingchun Valley Aviary and the newly renovated Nengren Temple. This area has a magnificent history of more than 1,000 years. At present, it has seven sightseeing zones.
