The Sun Yat Sen Tomb
in Nanjing is the mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat Sen,
the great forerunner of China's democratic
revolution and recognized as the father of
modern China. Sheltered by hill slopes, the
Sun Yat-Sen Mausoleum in Nanjing faces the
south and consists of a semi-circular square,
memorial archways, tomb passages, the gate,
tablet pavilion, memorial hall and coffin
chamber. The tomb itself lies at the top of a
huge stone stairway. The mausoleum is in the
pattern of a 'clock of freedom', wishing the
whole world would take the democratic road.

Transport:
Visitors may get on bus No. 9 or by special
tourist bus Nos. 2 and 3.
