Located in the
northwest area of the magnificent People's
Square, the Shanghai Grand Theatre in Shanghai,
a well known landmark, is the pride of
the residents here as it represents the city's
modern architectural capabilities. Covering an
area of about seventy thousand square meters,
performances such as ballet, chamber music,
opera, symphony, stage and dance drama are being
held in one of the three separate theatres here.
The automatic mechanical stage found here at the
Shanghai Grand Theatre is regarded as the
largest and most sophisticated ever seen in this
part of the world.
