Completed on the 1st October 1994, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in Shanghai, which resembles an inverted hypodermic, has a height of 468 meters and this Shanghai TV Tower is the tallest tower in Asia and third tallest in the world. This well known modern day architecture is located on Lujiazui Road and when seen from the Bund, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower together with the Nanpu and Yangpu bridges depicts an impression of two dragons playing with a pearl. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is located at Lujiazui, the busiest part of Pudong New Area. With multi-functions for sightseeing, catering, shopping, amusement and accommodations, this TV tower has become the symbol of the city and also the most famous landmark in Shanghai. The observation deck and its revolving restaurant are a hit with tourists and you should take the opportunity to ride in its high-speed elevator to get up the the top bauble.

Admission: 50 yuan

 

Location: 1 Century Boulevard, Pudong New Area

Transport: Visitors may get there by special tourist bus No. 3, Subway Line 2, public bus Nos. 81, 82 and 870 and Tunnel Lines Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6.
