There are many different types of transportation in Shenzhen available to visitors who are on vacation in this city. Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport is the fourth largest airport in China and is 35 kilometers away from the downtown area. It has opened some 110 international and domestic routes to more than 60 cities. The terminal building has perfect service facilities and has several leisure and shopping zones, bookstore, lobbies and fitting rooms. Tourists can catch the airport bus from the Hualian Dasha building on Shennan Zonglu.

By Rail

On the Guangzhou-Kowloon and Beijing-Kowloon railway lines, Shenzhen has a good geographic conditions. The trains depart in the evening and arrive at the destination in the next morning to Beijing West Railway Station, stops at Changsa, Nanchang, Wuchang and Jiujiang to relieve your fatigue from long travel. Shenzhen sells railway tickets five days in advance for trains departing from the city. In the ticket hall of the railway station, there are automatic ticket selling machines for the convenience of travelers to enquire or buying tickets. At the same time, commercial center of various big hotels in the downtown area provide the service on railway tickets for passengers.

Taxis

The starting price of taxi in Shenzhen is 12.5 yuan while in the evening from 11.00pm to 6.00am next morning, the starting price is 16 yuan. Taxis in red can travel for long distance but those in yellow only operates in urban area.

Buses

Moving around in Shenzhen is best for travelers to use the public transport in Shenzhen since Shenzhen has one of the most efficient and best public transport system in China. The public bus transport services in Shenzhen is excellent. The buses here are not as crowded compared the other cities in China.
