'Minsk' was the
second generation of the multi-function
medium-sized aircraft carrier of the former
Soviet Union. It was manufactured in 1972 and
joined the Pacific Fleet in 1978. It was the
fifth largest aircraft carrier among the
conventional aircraft carriers in the world. In
June 1998, it was purchased by the Shenzhen
Minsk Company and the Minsk Aircraft Carrier in
Shenzhen has been developed into a tourist
attraction of a military tourism theme.
