MEMORIAL HALL OF ZHOU ENLAI AND DENG YINGCHAO IN TIANJIN

The Memorail Hall of Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao in Tianjin was built and opened to the public at the eve of the 100th birthday of late premier Zhou Enlai on the 28th February 1998. Located next to Shuishang Gongyuan, the popular tourist attraction in Tianjin has a preface hall, biography hall, letter hall, artistic goods hall, video showing hall, multi-function hall, guest hall, pictures and references materials hall, cultural relics storeroom and document research center.

 

Although Zhou Enlai spent his early days at Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, he came to Tianjin to attend school. The memorial hall shows the life of Zhou and his wife Deng Yingchao through photos and a large collection of memorabilia. His wife is popularly known as the pioneer and leader of the women's liberation movement whose work included the drafting of the Marriage Law.

 

Opening times: 8.30am to 4.00pm (except Monday)

Admission: 10 yuan

Transport: Visitors may get on public bus Nos. 94, 643, 859, 871, 875, 904 or by tour bus No. 2
