The transportation
system in Xian allows tourists to move around
easily in this historic city of Xian. Xian Xianyang
Airport is an international airport next to
those in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai in the
scale. It has opened more than 100 air routes.
The airport is 41 km away from the downtown
area. It takes one hour from the Xian-Tongchuan
Expressway to the airport. The shuttle bus
between the airport and Xishaomen dispatch
another one hour from 5.00am - 6.00pm.

of transportation in Xian is taking a train.
Xian has developed railway lines which extend
to the majority parts in China. Passenger trains
are divided into three kinds: special express
trains (T), express trains (K) and ordinary trains
(including slow passenger trains).

Public Buses
Transport in Xian
is very convenient with public bus, trolley bus,
special air-conditioned bus, double-decker bus
and mini bus easily available. The fare for the
air-conditioned and special buses starts from 2
yuan (fare will change according to different
seasons) and that for the mini buses is 0.5 yuan.
Taxis
Taxis in Xian are
of such styles as Fukang, Santana and Auto. The
fare of the Fukang and Santana taxis is 6 yuan
for the first three km and 1.4 yuan for one km
thereafter while the fare of the Auto taxis is 5
yuan for the first three km and 1.2 yuan for one
km thereafter.
