Since scuba diving is a popular
adventure sport which needs to overcome an unfamiliar and
hostile environment, bringing all the necessary gear with
you while you travel is important. One of the needed gear is
the diving fins. Without the scuba fins, you will not be able to move around freely
in the waters since the extra thrust the scuba diving fins provided is crucial to
overcome the drag of scuba equipment. There are two types of fins
which you can look into. If you decided not to wear bootees, then
you should bring along the full foot pocket fins. This type of fins
has to be accurate and fit comfortably. You would be advised to
bring along a spare fin because once the heel tears, the whole fin
would be considered useless. The second type of fin which are for
divers who wear bootees are the open heel foot pocket fins. The main
concern with this type of fins is the adjustable heel strap. So,
when packing your bags, try to put in a few spare straps with you.
Since fin blades come in different sizes, it is good to keep in mind
that larger fins are for those with stronger leg muscle. Fit is most
important criteria when buying fins. Never choose design over fit. |
