While you are underwater exploring the unknown, one crucial diving accessory to bring down with you is your diving knife. Diving knives are mainly used for prying, digging, measuring or knocking against the main cylinder to attract another diver's attention. Despite its resourcefulness, the most important function of diving knives are for cutting baggage nets, fishing lines, fishing nets, ropes and seaweed since all of these dangerous objects can entangle divers. Diving knives have been used to save many lives. It is advisable for divers to take with them serrated blades as they are able to cut ropes very efficiently as opposed to normal knives. While some knives have a small sharp groove for cutting monofilament line but divers tend to use the cut-through-anything shears.
