UNDERWATER LIGHTS FOR DIVING

To overcome poor visibility, divers tend to bring with them underwater lights (underwater torches) which is easily purchased at any diving shops and the variety you can choose from is unlimited since they come in all shapes, sizes and powers. The type of underwater lights that you bring along depends on where and when you are diving.

Large and powerful underwater lights are used to illuminate divers and wrecks in daylight. When you are diving at night, it is better to bring low power underwater lights  in order to prevent from scaring the shy marine creatures away and sending them into hiding. This type of low power lights are usually powered by alkaline batteries while the stronger lights use rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries.
