When traveling, it is very important
that we have access to clean water for consumption every day. Have
pure drinking water is a must. When we are flying, always keep a
bottle of water next to you and it is advisable to remember to drink
clean water frequently. The air in the cabin is very dry and you may
suffer from dehydration is there is not enough intake of water and
you will feel the effects of jet lag. Staying hydrated while hiking
is also very important. Muscle function declines as you become
dehydrated which will then result in a very terrible headache. Your
body will also be more susceptible to other illness when you become
dehydrated. Taking too much coffee or fruit juices will also
contribute to dehydration because they contain too much caffeine and
sugar. Therefore it is a must to carry a water bottle filled with
water to maximum capacity whenever you go outdoors especially in
humid places. Choosing the correct type of water bottle is also
important. Firstly, carry at least a quart size bottle. Secondly,
always carry your water in a bottle that will not leak if tipped on
its side or if it is turned upside down. Try not to use the types
that leak such as bike bottles or the exercise bottles with the pull
out nipples or straws in them. You can use the plastic water bottles
that you buy designer water in although these types are not meant to
be reused. The heavy duty water bottles sold in camping supply
stores are good whereby the wide mouth Nalgene water bottles are
almost indestructible. |
