One major concerned of most air travelers is whether the impact of jet lag can be minimized and also to reduce stress and try to achieve relaxation. If possible, try not to drink alcohol and caffeine the day before you fly and also during the time you are in the plane. You are encouraged to drink as much water and fruit juice as possible while the plane is flying.

 

Another way to overcome uneasiness while flying is to apply a good moisturizer before you leave and during the flight to keep your skin from drying out and it is better to wear glasses instead of contact lenses. On arrival, you are advised to go for a brisk walk or gentle jog. Try to get as much sunlight as possible as you can. Natural light will help your body clock reset itself more quickly.

 

When doing packing, try not to put cash, jewelry, passports, keys, tour vouchers, business papers, medicines or objects that are fragile, perishable or irreplaceable into your checked baggage. It is better to carry these with you, either on your person or in a small bag that you can take on board. Do not over pack. This will put unnecessary pressure on hinges and locks. Remember to always lock your bags. This makes it harder for them to to spring open accidentally and it can also prevent other people from putting dangerous items such as drugs into your bags without your knowledge. Remember to put a tag inside your luggage with your name, home address, home and work telephone numbers together with an address and telephone number where you can be reached in your destination city.

 

Never check in at the very last minute. You might make the flight but your luggage may not. Always remember to get a claim check for every bag checked and make sure that the check-in clerks attaches a destination tag to each of your luggage. Since many bags look similar, claim yours by check number or name tag. If a bag arrives open, unlocked or visibly damaged, check immediately to see if anything is missing or if any unrecognizable items has been added. Report any baggage problems immediately to the customs. It is every traveler's wish to have a stress free travel.
