Cheung Chau, a dumb-bell-shaped island, is known for its colorful annual Bun Festival which is held to pacify the ghosts of the dead killed by the pirates. Among the attractions here include the famous fresh fish stalls, herbal medicine shops, mah jong parlor and the Pak Tak Temple and fishing is the main source of income for the locals here. One of the famous landmark here is the Tung Wan beach, known as the place where the Olympic gold medalist Lee Lai Shan of Hong Kong first learnt to sail. After enjoying a spectacular view at Cheung Chau, take a chartered ferry to Sok Kwu Wan pier at Lamma Island. Here, plenty of restaurants serving fresh seafood can be found and not to far away, take a scenic walk to Yung Shue Wan village whereby you will be able to witness the beautiful Hung Shing Yeh beach and also appreciate the beauty of the rugged rocks found here. Stop at the Yung Shue Wan village for a drink at its many bars and cafes.
