Nara, the first capital of Japan, a wonderful

visitors is the Kikusuiro, which has the
privilege as being the oldest ryokan in Nara

First started out as
an accommodation for Buddhist priests, Kikusuiro
became popular as the day goes by for its serene
atmosphere. Known as the Water Chrysanthemum
Tower, the government of Japan has classified
this inn as a tangible cultural asset. Although
getting here may be a bit hard but the journey
is guaranteed to be fulfilling. You must first
catch a one hour flight from Haneda to Itami
Airport using one of the local airlines. From
there, take a sixty minutes limousine bus ride
to Kintetsu Nara Station and then a few minutes
taxi ride will get you here. Located in a corner
of Nara Park, it lies across the famous Kofukuji
Temple and the Sarusawa Pond. Deer can be seen
grazing in the park as you walk across the park to the

Great Buddha, Daibutsu of Todaiji Temple. The rich and famous
has one time or another took time to come here
to enjoy the excellent service provided by
Kikusuiro. Its main attraction is its serene
atmosphere and also the kaiseki cuisine prepared
by specially trained chefs. For those who are
lucky enough, you may catch the performance of
Nara's most exquisite geisha entertaining guests
here. All the thirteen rooms here are designed
to give you a traditional Japanese ambiance.
