For a fun filled adventure, make your way to Odaiba which has enough popular attractions to keep you entertained throughout the day. Traveling using the Yurikamome Line, an automatic, computer-controlled train that runs between Shimbashi Station and Ariake Station will take you to Odaiba, a famous waterfront area. Decks Tokyo Beach is a commercial complex featuring Daiba Little Hong Kong with its selection of Chinese stores and restaurants and Tokyo Joypolis, an amusement park operates by SEGA. Located next to it is the Aqua City Odaiba which is made up of shopping malls, restaurants and a 13-screen movie complex, the Mediage.

 

Also found here is the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation which allows visitors to see the very latest technology in science. The building has seven floors and on the top floor is a dome theatre with a semi-spherical screen. Other attractions are Palette Town which is a large shopping complex with shops, amusements facilities, restaurants and a 115-m ferris wheel while the Mega Web is a theme park featuring car models by Toyota where you can have a test drive of cars. Found here also is the Venus Fort which is a theme park for women, featuring an artificial sky changing from sunrise to night sky as time passes by.  

 

 

How to get around in Odaiba

  • Start from Shimbashi Station

  • Ride 12 minutes on Yurikamome Line to get to Odaiba Kaihin Koen Station

  • Walk 5 minutes to get to Decks Tokyo Beach (Daiba Little Hong Kong, Tokyo Joypolis)

  • Walk 5 minutes to get to Aqua City Odaiba Mediage

  • Ride 5 minutes on Yurikamome Line to get to the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation

  • Ride 5 minutes on Yurikamome Line to get to Palette Town, Mega Web, Venus Fort

  • Ride 20 minutes on Yurikamome Line to end trip at Shimbashi Station
