ROPPONGI - TOKYO

ROPPONGI HILLS - TOKYO TOWER

JAPAN

Roppongi is an area with many foreign embassies and it is a special area in which many foreigners like to gather here. It is the center of Tokyo's exciting nightlife and has many restaurants, nightclubs and bars. The Roppongi Intersection is just outside the subway exit and it is a very exciting area which is always full of people. Located here is the Roppongi Hills, a new city complex which was opened in April 2003, consisting of shopping malls, restaurants, a hotel, a movie complex, an art museum and residential building.

Among the many tourists attractions here is the Tokyo Tower, opened in 1958, is a symbolic tower of Tokyo and has a height of 333 m but it only takes one minute by elevator to get up to the special observatory platform which is located at the height of 250 m. It was renovated for the first time in 2002. Besides its two observatory platforms, there is a waxwork museum displaying more than 100 waxworks made at a studio using the same techniques as the Madame Tussaud Museum in London. There is also an aquarium filled with more than 900 species of fish and a trick-art gallery where visitors can enjoy 3D arts and have a wonderful time for the whole day.
