If eating is your pastime and okonomiyaki is your favorite, then you should not missed going to Tsukishima because it is an area with more than 50 okonomiyaki and monja restaurants to choose from. Okonomiyaki is a meal where the food it is grilled on a hot pan and is like a pancake with vegetables, meat, seafood or noodles inside. Monja is very much like okonomiyaki but is softer and contains more soup. It is also made from flour, vegetables, meat and seafood. Although it does not look as good as okonomiyaki but it taste as good if not better. Visitors will surely come back for more of these delicious cuisine once they have tasted them.

 

 

How to get around in Tsukishima

  • Start from Tsukishima Station

  • Walk 2 minutes to get to Tsukishima Monja Street (okonomiyaki for lunch)

  • Two stops on Oedo Line will bring you to Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station

  • Walk 10 minutes to get to Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo

  • Walk 10 minutes to get to Kiba Station

  • Two stops to Kayabacho Station on Tozai Line

  • Change for Hibiya Line at Kayabacho Station to bring you to Higashi-Ginza Station

  • Walk 2 minutes to end trip at Ginza (dinner)
