Pulau Tengah (Middle
Island) is a
fascinating island in Johor which will take you
about one-and-a-half hour boat ride from Mersing.
This famous marine park was once a Vietnamese
refugee camp. This island is packed with
visitors during the month of July when its
biggest attraction, the great
leatherback turtles, come here to lay their eggs.
Another tourist attraction here is the magnificent
corals seen on the northern section of the
island. Besides the usual water sports
activities, there is a great resort and a superb
members' only golf course to be found on this
tourist attraction.
