An exceptionally
remarkable island lying on the east coast of
Johor is Pulau Tinggi (Tall Island) which is actually an
extinct volcano. Only about a two hours boat
ride from Mersing, this superb attraction has a
proper resort facilities catering for all
visitors. The waters here is perfect for
snorkeling. Other enjoyable activities that can
be carried out include angling, boating and
swimming. This interesting island is usually
packed during the school holidays and
reservations are sometimes necessary to find a
place to stay and the prices here are very
reasonable.
