Langkawi is not only a major
leisure destination but also boasts an artistic museum
of world class status named the Ibrahim Hussein Museum
and Cultural Foundation. Built in 1998, this famous
tourist attraction is located along the road on the way
to Teluk Datai. Set in the heart of the lush
rainforest atop a cliff overlooking the Datai Bay, the
gallery displays fine works of Ibrahim Hussein who is
regarded as the most famous Malaysian contemporary artist.
Some of the popular exhibits here are the abstract and
multi-media works of Ibrahim Hussien and you should not
miss this place of interest if you are a contemporary
art lover.
