The most popular town in
Langkawi is Kuah. This famed place of interest is a
booming town with plenty of duty-free shops and
traditional handicrafts centre. What you will notice
here is that new concrete buildings are fast replacing
the old wooden buildings whereby the main income for the
residents are mostly tourism based. Many tourists come
here for its authentic Malay and Indian cuisine. More
and more restaurants are seen mushrooming here at Kuah
and the seafood sold here are both delicious and fresh.
Getting to Kuah from the inland resorts are easy since
there are taxis and shuttle vans services which are
easily available from the resorts.
