Pulau Payar Marine Park which is an hour speedboat ride from Pulau Langkawi and located about thirty kilometers south of Langkawi is a popular tourist attraction since it is regarded as Malaysia's best marine park with an abundance of underwater life. One of the main attractions of Langkawi lies in its undersea treasure of marine life and this marine park is made up of Pulau Payar, Pulau Lembu, Pulau Segantan and Pulau Kaca with Pulau Payar being the largest. It has spectacular corals and clear waters with visibility of up to thirty meters.
