Pulau Payar Marine
Park which is an hour speedboat ride from Pulau Langkawi
and located about thirty kilometers south of Langkawi is
a popular tourist attraction since it is regarded as Malaysia's best marine
park with an abundance of underwater life. One of the
main attractions of Langkawi lies in its undersea
treasure of marine life and this marine park is made up
of Pulau Payar, Pulau Lembu, Pulau Segantan and Pulau
Kaca with Pulau Payar being the largest. It has spectacular corals and clear waters with
visibility of up to thirty meters.
Snorkeling and diving are
the most popular pursuits whereby you can appreciate the
colorful and spectacular sea life, reefs and corals
whereby moored near Pulau Payar is the Langkawi Coral, a
floating reef platform with an underwater observatory,
snorkeling and diving equipment and glass bottom boats. For those
who do not want to get wet at all can view the amazing kaleidoscope of
color and shapes of the magnificent fishes from an
