As with most of the strongly
Thai influenced designed buildings seen in Alor Setar,
Wat Mikrodharam is of no exception. A major landmark in
Kedah, this Thai Buddhist temple has a beautiful
sculptured garden and the main item seen here at this
temple is the sculpture of a golden Garuda hovering
above the entry to the main hall of the temple besides
the grand Buddha statue located in the main hall.
Beautiful inscriptions can be seen on the outer walls of
the temple grounds giving the temple an unique look.
