Kota Bharu is the capital
city of Kelantan and also a bustling town with
traditional Malay culture. Most
day tours usually begin from this town whereby it also acts as the stopping place for all
visitors who visits Kelantan. Besides being the
termination point of the east coast highway, this
cultural town has also become the gateway to Thailand. It is
roughly 170 kilometers from Kuala Terengganu, 370 kilometers from Kuantan and 480 kilometers from Kuala
Lumpur. Malaysia Airlines links Kota Bharu to other
major towns in the peninsula and allows tourist to fly
into Kelantan.
