Pantai Seri Tujuh is Kelantan is a popular beach which is located near the border with Thailand in the Tumpat district. If you are coming from the capital city, this place of interest is only less than ten kilometers away from Kota Bahru. The nearby villages seen here are quite traditional with many old fashioned Malay fishing boats still making their rounds at the sea.

 

The best time to visit Pantai Seri Tujuh is during the International Kite Festival when top kite or wau flyers from all over the world gather to show off their skill in flying kites. Kites of various colors and sizes can be seen here with the wau bulan or the moon kite being the most common type seen here. Visitors will surprised by the skills shown by the participants since flying these these giant kites require special handling with enormous experience. There are some good and cheap resorts and chalets found here.
