STATE MUSEUM - KELANTAN

MUZIUM NEGERI KELANTAN

KELANTAN - EAST COAST OF MALAYSIA

The main tourist attraction in Kelantan is the State Museum which is also called the Muzium Negeri Kelantan. Before being converted into the State Museum in 1990, this place was used as the site of the land office during the colonial days. Visitors coming here can get a chance to learn more about the history and development of the state with exhibitions such as the paraphernalia associated with the traditional art of Kelantan. The various displays of artifacts, crafts, paintings and photographic displays give an interesting insight to the development of Kelantan. Another remarkable exhibit is the Ming and Qing dynasty porcelain. This building, located opposite the clock tower, also acts as the headquarters for the Kelantan State Museum Corporation.
