Tourists must spend a morning wandering
through what was once a busy 'wet market' where the
locals used to buy their fish, meat and other sundries. The many
shops housed in this heritage building will enchant
tourists with their offerings such as antique clocks,
jewelry, gems, woodcarvings, batik and pewterware.
The Central Market is linked to Dayabumi by a bridge and
is now a cultural showcase for Malaysian products, arts
and crafts.
Tourists with an eye for the unusual will enjoy buying or
browsing through the market's extensive range of novelty
items such as jade trees and blown glass souvenirs

whereby excellent and interesting shopping opportunities are plenty. Visitors will be able to
see portrait artists, glass blowers in action, batik
painters transforming a white material into vivid
colors or simply relax at one of the many restaurants
here and sample local or western food.
A riverside
amphitheater can be found outside whereby it is a venue
for regular performances of traditional and contemporary
dances and musical concerts. As one of the busiest
tourists attractions in Kuala Lumpur, the Central Market
is a famous arts and cultural centre in Malaysia.
Getting here is easy as the Klang Bus Station is located
nearby with plenty of taxis services available.
Opening times:
