Kuala Lumpur Tower in MalaysiaSituated atop Bukit Nanas along Jalan Punchak in the vicinity of Kuala Lumpur's hotel district, this 421 meters high concrete tower is Asia's tallest telecommunications tower and the fourth tallest in the world. Located just a stroll from major hotels, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the city from its observation platform as well as the revolving restaurant. The tower also serves as a transmission station for telecommunications, radio and television.

 

Tourists will not missed this tower against Kuala Lumpur's skyline and it is a vantage point to see the city clearly. Two sections of the KL Tower are open to visitors only whereby the Upper Ground Level has been equipped with public facilities such as souvenir and handicraft shops, restaurant, post office, money changer, mini theatre and is dominated by the attractive 146 meters pedestrian mall with a pool in the middle. International and local cultural shows, arts and crafts exhibitions are also being displayed here from time to time which allows tourists to learn more about the colorful Malaysian traditions.

 

The Tower Head, made from glass and arranged in the traditional Islamic form of the 'muqarnas' symbolizes the seven layers of the sky. It is made up of eleven levels whereby the first two levels consists of a public observation platform, snack bars, souvenir shops and a revolving restaurant which serves both famous local and international food. Telecommunications equipment are found in the other levels since the main function of the tower is to help improve the quality of television and broadcasting services in Malaysia. Visitors who have a chance to visit this famous tourist attraction in Kuala Lumpur will definitely be amazed by the astonishing view of the Federal Territory and the Klang Valley from its Seri Angkasa revolving restaurant.
