The Financial Park along
Jalan Merdeka is the
most impressive building in Labuan. This 17-storey
complex with a built-up area of one million square feet
stands as a landmark for the island's status as an
International Offshore Financial Centre.
Within this
complex are international offshore banks, insurance and
trust companies, office blocks, condominiums and shopping
arcades. It houses the Labuan Convention Hall, an ultra
modern facility which can seat 1,500 people. The
Financial Park provides an integrated working
and living environment with facilities and
services like broadband telecommunications
facilities for offshore banking and other
business activities and it is believed to be the
only one of its kind to be found in any IOFC in
Asia.
