WORLD WAR TWO MEMORIAL

The Labuan War Cemetery, a beautiful landscaped cemetery, is situated at Jalan Tanjung Batu and has over 3,900 graves of soldiers, mostly Australians, New Zealand and British servicemen. A memorial service is held on the nearest Sunday to the 11th of November every year. Relatives and friends will gather here to remember their loved ones who was killed during the World War Two.

 

A part of the cemetery is dedicated to the Indian soldiers of the Punjab Regiment and this memorial is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
