One of the many exciting
places where the whole family can enjoy themselves in
Melaka is at the Air Keroh district (sometimes called
Ayer Keroh). Located less than twenty kilometers away at
the northern section of Malacca, heading towards the
North-South Expressway, is one big recreational theme
park with plenty of attractions along the long stretch
of road which is called the Air Keroh Road. Some of the
more popular tourists attractions found here are the
Butterfly and Reptile Sanctuary, Hutan Rekreasi Air
Keroh, Melaka Zoo, Mini Malaysia Park/Mini ASEAN Park,
Orang Asli Museum and Taman Buaya Melaka.
There are
many activities catering for both the young and old.
During weekends and public holidays, this place of
interest is full of local visitors as well as
Singaporeans. Getting to Air Keroh is easy as there are
regular shuttle services from the main hotels in Melaka
and besides the local town bus No 19 service.
