The Cultural Museum in Melaka
is located a walking distance away from the A' Famosa.
This tourist attraction is found at the eastern section
of the base of the St. Paul's Hill whereby the building is
a wooden replica specially
designed to depict the palace of the sultan of Malacca.
The structure of this building is created based upon the
original 15th century palace from the
explanations given in the Malay Annals and one great
achievement is that this building was built without
using any nails.
The popular exhibits are on
the Melaka's culture besides other interesting displays
from the other parts of Malaysia which include themes on
clothing, musical instruments, photographs, stone
inscriptions and weaponry. One special feature is a
diorama showing the sultan's court. The Terengganu Stone
which depicts Arabic and Malay inscriptions can also be
seen here.
