One of the least known but
interesting place in Melaka is the Dol Said's Grave.
Dato Dol Said was the ninth ruler of a small district
called Naning and was well known for his involvement
in the 1931 Naning War against the British occupation.
Dol Said was against the imposition of taxes on the
district by the British and during these times, he
showed amazing military ingenuity in overcoming the
British on a couple of times. When he passed away, Dol
Said was buried at Taboh Naning.
