The Hang Tuah's Well in Melaka is always regarded as a sacred well by the locals and has been a very famous tourist attraction. This well is found at Kampung Duyong which is a small village located along the road to Muar and roughly four kilometers away from the main town. Hang Tuah is a very famous Malay warrior who loyally served Sultan Mansor Shah whereby his courage and exploits were renowned.

 

According to legend, this well is the abode of Hang Tuah's soul which takes the form of a white crocodile. Not many people has seen the crocodile since it was believed that only the pure could witness this amazing creature. The water inside the well is known to have medicinal value besides bringing luck to those who consume the water. For those who wants to learn more about Hang Tuah are advised to visit the Hang Tuah mausoleum at Tanjung Kling.
